Information we handle
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. To provide the Service you connect your own PostHog account, and we access the session recordings and related data available through the credentials you provide. We also keep basic usage and diagnostic information needed to run the Service.
Your end users’ data
The session recordings you connect are captured by PostHog from your end users. You are the controller of that data and we process it on your behalf and on your instructions. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to record your end users and for providing them any notices and choices required by applicable law.
How we use information
We use information to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service and to communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and analytics
On our marketing site we use cookies and analytics, including session recording, to understand how visitors use the site. You can accept or reject these through the cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies, such as the sign-in cookie in the app, are always on.
Service providers
We rely on third-party providers to run the Service, such as hosting, storage, and email delivery. They process information only as needed to provide their services to us. A current list of providers is available on request.
